Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The Dollyrots Releases New Christmas Song “Christmas Time With You”
American punk rock band The Dollyrots, consisting of Kelly Ogden (vocals/bass), Luis Cabezas (guitar), released a new Christmas song “Christmas Time With You” on December 14, 2022.
It is their first Christmas song since the 2020 Christmas album “A Very Dollyrots Christmas”.
The track was written by Kelly Ogden and Luis Cabezas, who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Dennis Willis.
Kelly Ogden said of the song, “We love doing Christmas covers but the kids really wanted to do the Chipmunks song this year. Which meant Luis and I felt like we could do an original. We figure a lot of people can relate to the hustle and bustle of the holidays and just wanting to find your person for a quiet moment.”- Luis Cabezas added, “After putting out enough Christmas covers to make a full album over the years, we decided it was time to write an original. We cut the whole thing in our home studio, and once the kids saw what we were doing they wanted to join the party and appear on their own track. Our son River has been learning 'The Chipmunk Song' in chorus class for his Winter Concert so recording a family-style version had to happen.”
The band embarks on the UK tour with Don't Panic and the Hey Girl 2023 Tour Part 1 with the Von Tramps.
The tour kicks off at at FAC251 - Factory Manchester in Manchester, UK on February 14, 2023.
