Canadian dark-pop singer-songwriter ari hicks has dropped a new music video for “Midas” directed by Nicole Davis.
The song was released on September 15, 2022 as the first single off of her upcoming EP “It's Not That Deep: Chapter 2”.
It was written by Arianna Singh-Hicks, Maize Olinger and Dan Book.
The song is about “making peace with your decisions and the consequences of your actions,” ari hicks confided.
She continued, “The story of Midas is a cautionary tale, the perfect example of the phrase 'be careful what you wish for'. I'm someone that has a hard time convincing myself not to dwell, and has an even harder time pulling myself out of it once there. This song is representative of that moment of peace in letting something go and turning into something that no longer hinders you but strengthens you. Like I said, there's beauty in chaos, I'd love to encourage more and more people to find it for themselves.”
The new EP is the follow-up to the EP “It's Not That Deep: Chapter 1” released back in August.
Both EPs will appear on her upcoming debut album “It's Not That Deep”.- source : Apple Music
