Italian DJ Gabry Ponte, Dutch DJ R3HAB and Australian DJ Timmy Trumpet teamed up to release a new remix of “Call Me”.
The original version of the song was released by American new wave band Blondie in 1980.
It is also the theme song of the 1980 film “American Gigolo”, directed by Paul Schrader, starring Richard Gere and Lauren Hutton.
The track was written by Giorgio Moroder and Debbie Harry.
The song reached No. 1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles chart. It became the band's biggest single and second No. 1.
This isn’t the first time that Gabry Ponte has collaborated with either R3HAB or Timmy Trumpet.
Gabry Ponte and R3HAB worked together on "The Portrait (Ooh La La)" in 2021. Gabry Ponte joined in Timmy Trumpet's debut album “Mad World”, where both performed the title track.
Also, R3HAB and Timmy Trumpet collaborated for “Distant Memory” with W&W in 2021.- source : Spotify
