Chris Young Releases New Album “Famous Friends”: Streaming
American country music singer-songwriter Chris Young released eighth studio album “Famous Friends” on August 6, 2021. It is his first album in four years.
The album comprises of 14-track, featuring guest appearances from Kane Brown, Lauren Alaina and Mitchell Tenpenny.
The album was produced by Chris DeStefano, Chris Young, Corey Crowder, Jeff Braun, Julian King, Mark Holman and Taylor Bray.
Also, Sarah Buxton and Hillary Lindsey joied in the album as background vocals.
“Only all the people who helped me make it something. There are more collaborations on this album than I've ever done,” Chris Young said. “I'm really proud of the collection of songs I was able to put together for this album. I feel like it touches almost every part of my life.”
The album lyrics see a influenced by the legendary artists such as Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, George Strait, and the late Joe Diffie.
He said, “They are the people I've heard grow up. And when Joe Diffie first heard the song, he actually contacted me and thanked me for the cry. It makes a lot of sense to me because I remember running out of all the Joe Diffie CDs I found. There was definitely a really important person for me to grow up.”- iho0_FZpuW8
The album title track, featuring Kane Brown, was released last November and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart.
Chris Young said, “I'm very proud of this song with Kane. Obviously it's been No. 1 in a few weeks and when it comes to the release of an album of the same name, everything goes well. It's a good time.”
The song is all about some of his real friends before he succeeded in country music. He said, “It's kind of like, this is the people who helped shape me where I came from. And these are people who may not be famous to you, but my hometown Then it is famous to me.”- source : Apple Music
