American singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers released her long-awaited debut album “Heard It In A Past Life” on January 18, 2019.
The album is the major-label debut LP and comprises of 12-track including her smash debut song "Alaska", "On + Off" and latest hit song "Light On".
Produced by Doug Schadt, Greg Kurstin, Kid Harpoon, Maggie Rogers, Nick Das, Ricky Reed and Rostam.
Maggie Rogers said of the album, "There was so much change that happened so fast, I wasn't always sure how to make all this stuff feel like me. I was really overwhelmed for a while, and scared too."
She said about the album title, "The title was the first thing I had for the album, actually. I was going for a solo walk in maine and it just kind of happened. Its a lot about memory. That moment when you stop making decisions and start remembering them."
Back in 2016, she wrote "Alaska" in fifteen minutes and showcased the song on a master class with Pharrell Williams. When he listened to the song for the first time, he moved and showed surprise reaction. The clip at that time brought in millions of views on YouTube.
She launched "Heard It In A Past Life Tour" in support of the album at Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles on January 17, 2019. The tour takes place in North America, Europe and Australia through to June 25th.
