  • Charlotte Day Wilson Releases New Song “Canopy”

  • Canadian contemporary R&B singer-songwriter Charlotte Day Wilson released the third single called “Canopy” from her upcoming sophomore album “Cyan Blue” on March 25, 2024.

The song is accompanied by the Sylvain Chaussée-directed music video.
The clip features Charlotte Day Wilson, a hockey player in her own right, skating with a hockey stick in hand across vast expanses of ice.
The track was written by Amy Allen, Charlotte Day Wilson, and Jack Rochon. Produced by Charlotte Day Wilson and Jack Rochon.

Charlotte Day Wilson says, the song is “meant to remind us that losing love & leaving can be just as inspiring as finding it.”
She shared on social media, “A reminder to not get consumed by someone else's dark cloud. It's like a canopy, all that hate, I'm above it can't live that way.”
  • The new album is set to be released on May 3, 2024 and is her first album in three years since the 2021 debut album “ALPHA”.
The album comprises a 13-track, featuring collaboration with Los Angeles-based Swedish singer-songwriter Snoh Aalegra.

Charlotte Day Wilson said of the album, “I want to look through the unjaded eyes of my younger self again. Before there wasn't as much baggage, before so much life was lived. But I also wish that my younger self could see where I am now. It would be nice to be able to impart some of the wisdom and clarity that I have now onto her.”
