Jack Garratt Releases New Song “Ready! Steady! Go!”
British singer-songwriter Jack Garratt released the second single called “Ready! Steady! Go!” from his upcoming third studio album “Pillars” on May 16, 2025, following “Catherine Wheel”.
The album is set to be released on August 15, 2025 via Cooking Vinyl.
The song offers itself as a limber, groove-laden banger, that explores the theme of self-love.
It was written and produced by Jack Garratt.
”Ready! Steady! Go! Is a song about the frustration of not being able to fully lean into a good thing,” Jack Garratt said of the song. “It's the moment before you let a dog off the lead, their nose already in the air, their mouth drooling. They look at you, not understanding why you won't just let them off the lead. My lack of self-love has often meant I've been waiting for someone else to let me love. This is unfair on everyone. Really, I'm allowed to let myself go.”- The new album comprises 11 tracks, which Jack Garratt recorded and produced in his North London studio and features one collaboration with producer Johan Hugo.
The album features a bold, unflinching exploration of love in all its forms - romantic, platonic, and self-love - woven into a tapestry of lush melodies, infectious beats, and heartfelt storytelling.
