Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ ZAYN Releases New Song “Alienated”
British singer-songwriter ZAYN released the second single called “Alienated” from his upcoming fourth studio album “ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS” on April 12, 2024, following the release of “What I Am” last month.
The song is accompanied by a live performance video.
It is his first performance in eight years since 2016.
The track was written by Zain Javadd Malik. Produced by Dave Cobb and ZAYN.
ZAYN said of the song, “‘Alienated’ was the first song I wrote for the album, so it kind of set the tone for the whole project - it shaped the way I wanted to approach the sound of my own voice, the styling of the guitars and the overall sonic direction.”- The new album is set to be released on May 17, 2024 and comprises a 15-track, produced by Dave Cobb and ZAYN.
It is his first album in three years since the 2021 album “Nobody Is Listening”.
Also, the album is ythe first release under his new label Mercury Records.
ZAYN said of the album, “This is my favorite album that I’ve made to date, mainly because it comes from a place of sheer honesty and vulnerability. I wanted each song to feel as if it was just me sitting beside you telling you how I feel, singing directly to you. It’s raw and stripped back and the type of music I always hoped to make.” -
He said of co-producer Dave Cobb, “He has been an amazing experience. The way he’s elevated the music is second to none, and he has done an incredible job helping me create this record.”
