American singer-songwriter Hunter Hayes released a new song “Song About You” on March 14, 2024.
The song will appear on his upcoming tenth studio album “Space Tapes”, which is set to be released on April 20, 2024.
It was written was written and produced by Hunter Hayes, with co-writer by Doug Makuta.
Hunter Hayes said of the song, “I wanted to digitally release a sneak-peak from the upcoming Space Tapes Vinyl Project. I wrote this with my good friend Doug Makuta and it features Easter egg musical performances from the MAKUTA Fam. This is for anyone who doesn't deserve a song written for them… it's a song about NOT writing a song for them… which looking back seems redundant but it's still a fav.”- The new album comprises a 8-track, produced by Hunter Hayes himself. But the record will be released vinyl only.
Hunter Hayes said of the album, “So I've been working on a secret project. And it's essentially eight unreleased songs that I was scared for different reasons, but all songs that I was basically scared to put on the last album, or they haven't before that. And I'm very excited to tell you that they're going to be on vinyl. And for right now, vinyl only. I may put out one song just as a sneak peek, but the whole project is called Space tapes that will be available for Record Store Day, April 20.” - source : Apple Music
