American actress and singer-songwriter Maya Hawke will release her third studio album “Chaos Angel” on May 31, 2024 via Mom+Pop.
The album is her first LP in two years since the 2022 album “MOSS” and comprises a 10-track.
Maya Hawke made the album with her longstanding collaborators Christian Lee Huston, Benjamin Lazar Davis and Will Graefe,
From the album, she released the third single called “Hang In There” on April 24, 2024, following “Dark” and “Missing Out”.
It was written by Maya Hawkem, and Christian Lee Hutson who also produced the track.
Maya Hawke said of the song, “The idea of 'Hang in There' is when you have someone close to you, who's going through something awful that you've been through earlier in your life, and you know that you can't interfere because they'll probably isolate themselves from you. So you have to just watch as they get really hurt. Until they have that moment where they realize they've been in a toxic situation all along. Then they come to you, and together, you help them emerge from it. It's a moment of real happiness when you can witness the pieces all click into place.”- On the new album, she catalogs upheavals, revelations, foibles, and broken promises, all while navigating the patterns we repeat while growing older, wandering astray, and finding our way back to some core understanding of ourselves.
