Austin-based singer-songwriter JB Elwood released a new song “Lost In My Ways” on April 11, 2024.
The song is taken from his upcoming debut album, which is expected to be released later this year.
The track is centered around the topic of alcoholism and digs deep into the topics of empathy and second chances.
It was written by JB Elwood and produced by Andrew Middleton.
“'Lost In My Ways' is a song about redemption,” JB Elwood said of the song. “Everyone deserves a second, third, maybe even fourth chance. You never truly understand someone’s situation until you step in their shoes. A person going through hard times may have the desire to change, but they may not know how. That is why they might push people away and continue putting themselves in bad situations, ultimately leading to a life crisis where they come face to face with their inner demons.”
He added, “I wrote this song to dig deep into the topics of empathy and second chances. Even though it is a darker topic, I hope my song resonates with you.”- Photo by Cindy Natalia
