Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Still Corners Releases New Song “Today is the Day”
London-based dream pop duo Still Corners released the fourth single called “Today is the Day” from their upcoming sixth studio album “Dream Talk” on March 27, 2024.
The track was written by Tessa Murray, and Greg Hughes, who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Darcie Thompson.
“You have all sorts of connections with songs you write but some seem to connect on a deeper level for whatever reason and this one does that for us,” the duo said of the song. “I think there were two sides to this song, one is that we wanted to say something about seizing the moment as life is precious and tomorrow is not promised and that is echoed in the chorus, Today is the Day etc. On the other side there's this connection to nature and that's peppered throughout the lyrics as well. Yeats once said, 'The world is full of magic things, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper'.”- They continued, “I really believe that and when we were out filming this video by all the trees and birds and just hearing that acoustic guitar out there, it felt ancient and old and it was something I had to be reminded of. Sitting there by the brook I thought maybe I'll be lucky and catch a glimpse of something deeper.”
The new album is due out on April 5, 2024 via Wrecking Light Records.
It is their first album in three years since the 2021 album “The Last Exit” and comprises a 10-track. - source : Apple Music
