British singer-songwriter ZAYN has announced his fourth studio album “Room Under The Stairs” will be released on May 17, 2024.
The album is his body of work in three years since the 2021 album “Nobody Is Listening” and comprises a 15-track.
Also, it is the first release record under his new label Mercury Records.
ZAYN wrote the album at his home in Pennsylvania for several years.
ZAYN shared on social media, “I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being. My ambitions, my fears, for them to have a connection with that, and that's why it's so raw. It's just me writing this I didn't want anybody else to be in between me and the music and the music and the people listening to it”- On the album, he worked with Nashville-based producer Dave Cobb.
Dave Cobb told Rolling Stone, “What got me about Zayn was his voice, you can hear love, loss, pain, triumph and humanity in it. I feel as if this record is removing the glass from his spirit directly to his fans. Zayn has really created his own universe on this record, he really has no fear and is speaking straight from his soul.” -
From the album, he unveiled a new song “What I Am” on March 15, 2024.
On March 13, her made a surprise appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and teased the song.
The track was written by Zain Javadd Malik, and produced by Dave CobbZAYN.
Also, ZAYN recorded the track with Derrek Phillips on drums, Brian Allen on bass, and Philip Towns on Keyboards.
