Yukon-based singer-songwriter Erica Dee Mah is back and has announced her upcoming EP “Paper Wealth” will be released on on May 8, 2024.
The EP is her first project in two years since the 2022 debut album “The Sargasso Season” and comprises a 5-track.
From the EP, she released the lead single called “The Garden” on March 15, 2024.
The song was written as a tribute to the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden in Vancouver’s Chinatown.
It was written by Erica Dee Mah and produced by Jordy Walker.
Erica Dee Mah said of the song, “I see the garden as a symbol of long-lasting cultural resilience. I was inspired to write the song after visiting the new Chinese-Canadian museum in 2021 with my brother and seeing how much the Chinatown community was struggling.”- Photo by Erik Pinkerton
