  • Kings of Leon Releases New Song “Nothing To Do”

  • Nashville-based rock band Kings of Leon, consisting of Caleb Followill (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Jared Followill (bass), Matthew Followill (lead guitar/keyboards) and Nathan Followill (drums), released the third single called “Nothing To Do” from their upcoming ninth studio album “Can We Please Have Fun” on April 19, 2024.

According to a press release, the track “delves into their post-punk sound with its jagged guitar riffs and propulsive drumming.”
The band sings, “I'm a man on a mission of going insane / There's a gold in the breeze / It's running in your hair/ Is it in my head is neither here nor there / And a picture framed of the day we met / It's a mystery / How could i forget that you / You want nothing to do with love.”
The track was written by Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill, and Nathan Followill. Produced by Kid Harpoon.
The accompanying music video was directed by Kings of Leon and Casey McGrath, with the band frontman Caleb Followill shooting it in one take.
  • The new album comprises a 12-track and is set to be released on May 10, 2024 via Capitol Records.
The band said the new album is one they've wanted to make for years. On the album, they worked with producer Kid Harpoon.

Caleb Followill said of the album, “I felt completely fulfilled. It was the most enjoyable record I've ever been a part of. It's like we allowed ourselves to be musically vulnerable.”
