Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Divorce Premieres New Song “Gears” on BBC Radio 6
British alt-country band Divorce, consisting of Tiger Cohen-Towell (vocals/bass), Felix Mackenzie-Barrow (vocals/guitar), Adam Peter Smith (guitar) and Kasper Sandstrøm (drums), premiered a new song “Gears” on BBC Radio 6 Music.
Also, the band announced their biggest headline show will be held at Islington Assembly Hall in London on October 23, 2024.
The song is their first music since the 2023 EP “Heady Metal”, which was released last November.
The track was written by Adam Peter Smith, Felix Mackenzie-Barrow, Kasper Sandstrøm, and Tiger Cohen-Towell. Produced by Catherine Marks.
The accompanying music video was directed by CLUMP Collective.
This track explores the difficult challenge of balancing multiple identities and responsibilities as an independent musician.
Felix Mackenzie-Barrow said of the song, “'Gears' was written when I'd just moved to London and was working very long hours whilst trying to keep up with increasing band commitments for Divorce. I was spending all of my time working or playing shows and couldn't maintain any kind of social life or keep up with the spending a social life felt like it would cost.
