London-based singer-songwriter Joseph Lawrence released a new song “Boys Don't Cry” along with a music video on March 22, 2024.
The song is the first release as an independent artists. Hr left Sony Music Entertainment UK after the release of single “My Church, My Lady” and the EP “Trials Of A Dream - Chapter I” in 2023.
He co-wrote the song with producer Benjamin Garrett. The music video was directed by Jeremie Brivet and Joseph Lawrence.
The clip features his father Conrad Lawrence.
Joseph Lawrence shared on social media, “This is something very special to me. I made this video with my father on the beach where I used to play as a kid. It'll be my first release as an independent artist and my most honest piece of work yet. Life is complicated but talking to one another helps make some sense of it all. Thank you for being there.”- He added, “Light sparring session with the Pops...Feels like a lifetime I've been waiting to release this. A very special piece to me for sure.
