The Audacity Releases Debut Song “Real Talk Fake Friends”
American rock band The Audacity, consisting of Tyler Carter (vocals), Manny Dominick (drums) and Dru DeCaro (guitar), released their debut song “Real Talk Fake Friends” on May 16, 2025.
The band co-wrote the song with Japanese rock band One Ok Rock frontman Takahiro Moriuchi and David Pramik.
The track is a raw take on the emptiness of fake connections and trusting others in a world full of surface-level interactions.
It was written by Andrew DeCaro, David Pramik, Derek Tyler Carter, Emmanuel Dominick, Takahiro Moriuchi, and Toru Yamashita. Produced by Eja Lange, Falconry, MannyTheDrummer, and Emerald Royce.
The band has already filmed a music video for the song, which is coming next week.- The band said of the song, “We worked so hard on this project for a long time to figure out how we wanted to sound, how we wanted to write it, how we wanted to mix it, trial and experiment and compose and throw it away and do it again and we did that for 30+ songs until we landed on a batch that we felt really represented all of us and our amazing collaborators.”
