JP Saxe Releases New Song “STRANGERS” featuring TINI
Los Angeles-based Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe joined forces with Argentine singer-songwriter TINI to release a new song “STRANGERS” on May 16, 2025.
This marks the first collaboration between JP Saxe and TINI.
The song is the first taste from the second installment of a two-part album “Make Yourself at Home”, which is set to be released on June 27, 2025.
The song is accompanied by a music video, which was directed by Diego Tucci and Richard Mountainous, and filmed in Argentina.
JP Saxe said of the song, “The easiest songs to write are the conversations you wish you could have, but can't, so they become songs instead. This is one of those songs. a song that's longing for an impossible simplicity where love is enough and nothing can get in the way. My favorite thing about this record is that I get to share it with TINI. The biggest chills I got in 2024 were from the first time I heard her sing her verse. I’ve been her fan for years. This is a dream collaboration for me - and heartbreak hits harder with two languages to miss someone with.”- The new album comprises 7 tracks and is the second installment of the two-part album. The first part, “Articulate Excuses” was released last month.
“Articulate Excuses” pulls from a period in which Saxe worked to come to terms with his patterns and personhood thus far, while “Make Yourself At Home” focuses on the work-in-progress of implementing those learnings.
JP Saxe describes the decision to split up the songs as “90 percent for creative reasons and 10 percent because of the pragmatism of navigating people's increasingly nonexistent attention spans. I love my music so much and even l have trouble listening to 14 in a row. So how could I expect someone else to?” -
