VALÉ Returns with New Song “vueltas”
Colombian singer-songwriter VALÉ returned with a new song “vueltas” on May 16, 2025.
The song is her first music since the 2024 EP “under the sun”.
The title “vueltas” means “going in circles” in Spanish.
The track blends her Latin pop roots with experimental production and alt-pop influences.
It was written by Jeffrey Scott Laliberte, Paul Rene Laliberte, Shelby Troy Archer, and Valentina Vilariño. Produced by The Fund.
VALÉ said of the song, “'vueltas' was born from an idea I had stuck in my head for the vocal chop part on the last, exhausting day of a writing trip in Colombia. It took nearly a year to finish. But I'm really proud of how it captures the feeling of a looping, cyclical relationship. Hence the title, which means 'going in circles' in Spanish.”- She plans to release six new songs this year. The new song is the first single of them. She will the next single “lightspeed” on June 20, 2025.
She said, “After 9 months of no releases, I started to feel like I was falling behind. these past few months have been an emotional roller coaster for me, and I think that its important for me to be open about that! I have wanted to perfect these next few songs that I will be sharing with you, while having decent mental health, physical health, being a leader, not abandoning my personal life, and that in itself a lot. This has been a process of growth, re-building self esteem and confidence in my art, and re-starting in a lot of ways. but, it led me here! vueltas is my upcoming single, the first of 6 total throughout 2025. These next songs have more to say that I ever have said, but still include the signature VALÉ ass-shaking banger in them.” -
