London-based electro-pop singer-songwriter Tsatsamis has shared a new music video for “Faith” directed by Ruby Harris.
The song was released as the third single from his new EP “Our Shame” on March 8, 2024.
It was written and produced by Peter Tsatsamis-Cooper.
Tsatsamis said of the song, “It’s an ode to some of the queer pop greats - George Michael, Madonna and SOPHIE. It comes out with an incredible music vid directed by Ruby Harris, set in a boxing ring gym and complete with a group choreo moment.”
He continued, “I had massive writer's block when I wrote this song, developing it over almost 9 months. But it became about learning to enjoy the process; be that a creative or personal one. And, of course, naturally I worked in some sexual undertones and references.”- “Faith came from an image Pete (Tsatsamis) described of sweaty people in a changing room with post-match energy, and a light shining down on him in the centre,” director Ruby Harris said of the video.“We cast a mixture of dancers, movers and friends, and I was so lucky to be able to collaborate with choreographer Caterina Danzico to find movements that everyone felt comfortable doing. It has always been a dream to shoot group choreography and it exceeded expectations.”
He added, “My aim was to give the video this energy. To show that God is shining on them and they are shining back at God.” -
The new EP comprises a 7-track, produced by Tsatsamis, and was released on April 5, 2024.
The EP was inspired by Tsatsamis' own life experiences, and encapsulates themes of lust, embracing sexuality, fallacy, and the pervasive shadow of shame.
Tsatsamis said of the EP, “7 tracks made over the past year and a half; about lust, embracing sexuality, fallacy and the ever-present shadow of shame.” - source : Apple Music
