Los Angeles-based British singer-songwriter Maisy Kay has announced her new EP “Wonderlust: The Dawn” will be released on May 13, 2024.
The new EP is the follow-up to the 2023 EP “Metamorphosis” and comprises a 6-track.
From the EP, she released the second single called “In Your Car” on April 5, 2024, following the release of “Sunlight” back in Februsry.
The track delves into the nuances of new love, encapsulating the beauty and challenges of relationships in a mesmerizing melody.
It was written by Maisy Kay Kendrick, and produced by Mike Avenaim.
“'In Your Car' stemmed from me being a chronic passenger princess,” Maisy Kay said of the song. "It's a collection of multiple memories from different times in the vehicle of a new love. I thought there was something sweet about romanticizing something as monotonous as being in a car. It's hopeful, but it's also cautious. It's recognizing how beautiful and easy the relationship is, but also understanding that no relationship is that way all the time. It's asking, 'When we face challenges and struggles together, when it isn't beautiful or easy anymore, will you still want to be with me?
