Ottawa-based singer-songwriter Alanna Sterling returned with a new song “Goodbye” on April 19, 2024.
It is their first music in two years since the 2022 album “Mind / Matter”.
The song is the first single off of their upcoming sophomore album “Everything's gonna be just fine”, which is set to be released on May 24, 2024 via Indica Records.
The track was and produced by Alanna Sterling. The accompanying music video was directed by Yang Shi.
Alanna Sterling said of the song, “I'm amazed at how something so powerful came to be. It's tethered to the human soul because everyone has gone through loss of some form or another. It's about navigating through life without what you lost.”
They added, “I write music to help work through life's adversities and inspire others to overcome their own battles.”- Alanna Sterling worked with Canadian record producer Pierre Marchand on the album.
They shared about the album on social media, “The iconic, long awaited album has an official launch date. the magic moment all recorded in one take, by Pierre Marchand (the genius behind Sarah MacLachlan's records).” -
