  • Kings of Leon Releases New Song “Split Screen”

  • Nashville-based rock band Kings of Leon, consisting of Caleb Followill (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), Jared Followill (bass), Matthew Followill (lead guitar/keyboards) and Nathan Followill (drums), will release their upcoming ninth studio album “Can We Please Have Fun” on May 10, 2024.

From the album, the band released the second single called “Split Screen” on March 29, 2024, following "Mustang".
According to a press release, the song lands in the middle of the album, a more meditative section of songs that favor texture and atmosphere.
The track was written by Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill, and Nathan Followill. Produced by Kid Harpoon.

The band said of the song in a statement, “We like this song. We thought the fans would like it too. 'Split Screen' may give people a little insight into the depth of the album, coming off of hearing 'Mustang.'”
  • The new album is their first LP in three years since the 2021 album “When You See Yourself” and comprises a 12-track, produced by Kid Harpoon.
Also it is the first release under their new labels LoveTap Records and Capitol Records.
Caleb Followill said of the album in a statement, “It was the most enjoyable record I've ever been a part of.”
Nathan Followill added, “It's like we allowed ourselves to be musically vulnerable. I love it when a rock band is not embarrassed to admit that every song doesn't have to be on 11.”
