  • St. Vincent Premieres New Song “Big Time Nothing” on BBC Radio 1

  • American singer-songwriter Anne Clark, aka St. Vincent premiered a new song “Big Time Nothing” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.

The song is the third single off her upcoming seventh studio album “All Born Screaming”, which is out this Friday (April 26th) via Total Pleasure Records and the Virgin Music Group.
It was written by Anne Clark and Cate Le Bon, produced by St. Vincent.

Anne Clark told Jack Saunders about the song, “That was after hours of like toiling with my modular since then my drum machines and I and that little moment happened 'dude, dude. dude, dude, dude, dude.' It's like, 'Oh, that's a song.' And it reminds me of like early 90s London. Like, I don't know, The Prodigy sort of like, rave moment. I was so excited by it. So I wrote a song around it.”
  • She continued, “I had the chorus for big time and I think when I was like okay, I just, I'm struggling with these with the verse which is the verse b. What is it? What is it? What am I trying to say? And I was like, Oh, well, let me just tune into the frequency in my brain that is a constant inner monologue of depression and anxiety and say exactly what that is. The that's what's happening inside my brain half the time.”

  • The new album is her first body of work in three years since the 2021 album “Daddy's Home”.
The album comprises a 10-track, featuring a guest appearance from Cate Le Bon, produced by St. Vincent.
Also, the record features contributions from several artists, including Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters, Cate Le Bon, Justin Meldal-Johnsen, Josh Freese, Stella Mozgawa, Rachel Eckroth, Mark Guiliana, and David Ralicke of Dengue Fever.
