In celebration of Women's History Month, New York-based German-American singer-songwriter Sarah Bernstein has released a new song “A Woman Like Me”.
The song delves deep into personal introspection and growth. It was written and produced by Sarah Bernstein, with production by Shane Adams.
She recorded the song at Coop DeVille Studio in Nashville, with musicians including Wes Little on drums, Luis Espaillat on bass, Justin Ostrander on guitar, and Shane Adams on piano.
Sarah Bernstein recalled about the song, “I wrote 'A Woman Like Me' weeping at my coffee table in my old apartment. At its core, it's a self-reflective song about identifying yourself as the problem. And at the time, it was the most honest I'd ever been with myself in writing.”- She continued, “Fast-forward five years later, and it's my absolute favorite song to perform live. The way people have connected with it, and shared how they relate, made it into something so much more powerful.”
