Australian singer-songwriter Conrad Sewell returned with a new song “All Life Long” on March 21, 2024.
The song is the first music in a year since the 2023 sophomore album “Precious”.
Also, the single is the first release as an independent artist. He left Sony Music Entertainment after the release of the sophomore album.
This time, he co-wrote the song with producer Josh Cumbee in Los Angeles
The lyrics are a love letter to his family after rehab for addiction, and the importance of cherishing those you care about.
Conrad Sewell said of the song, “All Life Long is a song about accepting that we all have demons and things that we do, habits that may cause problems in our lives and coming to accept that maybe we'll do them forever. And that kind of back and forth that you fight with, you know, with those things that can affect you in a negative way. I've talked about my issues before, but never quite like I have in this song.”- He shared on social media, “My journey in music has been a long, amazing, wild, sometimes very hard but ultimately beautiful ride and I'm so grateful that I get to do what I do. At some point in my life I have been signed to the three biggest major labels in the world and it's exciting that this is my first independent release. I love making music and I love performing music and I believe in this song and what's to come.”
