Earlier this week, American singer-songwriter Tinashe announced her upcoming seventh studio album “BB/Ang3l Pt.2 - Quantum Baby” along with a trailer will be released in 2024.
The album is the second installment of her trilogy “BB/Ang3l” series, following the 2023 album “BB/Ang3l”
From the album, she released the first single called “Nasty” on April 12, 2024.
The track was written by Eric Frederic and Tinashe Kachingwe. Produced by Ricky Reed and Zack Sekoff.
The accompanying music video was directed by Jonah Haber.
“This is that all summer long kinda BOP! It's meant to make you feel sexy, confident, let loose and maybe even unleash some of that sluttiness inside you,” Tinashe said of the song in a statement.” We all need a daily reminder that we are our own muses, here's the inspiration to embrace it.”- She told PAPER Magazine about the new album, “This is the first single of part two of my album. BB/ANG3L was always intended to be a trilogy. I wanted to release it in three parts just to give people a real sense of what every section meant and really allow them all to marinate. Sometimes you create music and it just gets consumed so quickly. You spend years working on this art. And so I wanted to pace myself in how I was releasing and drop it in three parts.”
- She continued, “I think initially, people were kind of confused as to why the first part of the project was seven songs and didn't understand that there was more coming. So I'm excited to release part two coming up. That's definitely coming this summer. 'Nasty' is just the first single that's being rolled out from this next section. So I'm definitely super excited for everyone to hear everything else I've been working on.”
