Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Alexandra Norton, aka Echos returned with a new song “CAROUSEL” on April 3, 2024.
The song is her first music in two years since the 2022 album “Affirmations”.
The track was written by Alexandra Norton, Andre Tempfer, and KJ Strock. Produced by KJ Strock and Andre Tempfer.
The accompanying music video was directed by Alexandra Norton herself and filmed by Simeon Muller and Micheal Hull.
Alexandra Norton said, “I'm excited to welcome you into this next era of echos <3 thank you to everyone who was a part of bringing this vision to life.”
She shared on social media about story behind making the video, “It was 37 degrees the entire time we were filming which is my sacred number so I always take that as a good sign! Someone was literally blaring WAP from a house across the field and I don't know how the fuck I didn't break character while filming this lol. I had those little hand warmer things evenly dispersed about my body to keep me warm while crawling on the frozen ground. We were all so loopy from the cold that we swore we saw ghosts. There were two different cars used for this and I'm happy that no one noticed hehe. My friends from highschool filmed the video which felt really special because they've been supporting my bands since before echos existed and it felt very full circle.”- Her new music is a testament to her evolution as an artist and her journey.
Her music delves into the darkest recesses of human existence - abuse, self-inflicted wounds, and the relentless dance with thoughts of oblivion, touches on themes of resilience, introspection, and empathy.
