Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Luke Hemmings Releases New Song “Close My Eyes”
Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer's lead singer Luke Hemmings released the second single called “Close My Eyes” from his upcoming EP “boy” on April 5, 2024.
The track was written by Luke Hemmings, and Sammy Witte who also produced it as with the first single “Shakes” released last month.
The new EP “boy” comprises a 7-track and is set to be released on April 26, 2024.
Luke Hemmings said of the song, “I'm elated to share the next chapter from boy - a song called ]Close My Eyes.' I wrote this as I headed into my late 20's and felt an unavoidable wave of fear and anxiety towards the inevitable death of my youth. I found myself unable to sleep because every time I tried; it was as if a film of my life was projected onto the back of my eye lids. The mistakes, successes, everything that could have been and everything that was. I felt physical growing pains of becoming a fully realized version of myself while having to say goodbye to the past.”- Luke Hemmings embarks on his first solo headline tour, NOSTALGIA FOR A TIME THAT NEVER EXISTED the 20-city (21 shows) across Europe, the UK, North America and Australia.
The tour kicks off at Bataclan in Paris, France on May 4 and will conclude at The Tivoli in Brisbane, Australia on June 16, 2024.
