Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Natalie Del Carmen released a new song “The Highway” on March 22, 2024.
The song is the second single since the 2023 EP “Tandem Songs”, following the release of “You Weren't Even Listening” last month.
It was written by Natalie Martha Del Carmen, and produced by Zack Burke.
The track cleverly uses the act of driving as a metaphor for moving on and forward in life, depicting the universal experience of processing emotions behind the wheel.
Natalie Del Carmen said of the song, “Musically, the song is something best listened to alone. Without interference from the outside world. Eyes closed and ears open. Taken like medicine. Ingested like truth. This is one of those songs that stays with you like a friend. A companion with a reminder of what life is for.
