American singer-songwriter Maijah released a new song “Lilith Limerence” on April 12, 2024.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming EP “Celestial”, following the release of “The Star” back in January.
She co-wrote the song with producer Gemma Cross.
The track encapsulates the tumultuous essence of infatuation, portraying the sensation of having your thoughts hijacked by someone you barely know and being treated like nothing more than a passing fling.
The lyrics portray the consuming passion with someone who remains indifferent.
She sings, “You only text once a day / Must be 'cause you are afraid / You'll feel a deeper way towards me / I can't breathe until you talk to me / I'll hold my breath for weeks / I know that we've only been on one date / but the stars say we're soulmates”.
Maijah has already filmed a music video for the song, co-directed by Gemma Cross and Amanda Smith, which will premiere on April 17, 2024.
