Orion Sun Announces New Album “Orion”, Shares New Song “Mary Jane”
American singer-songwriter Orion Sun has announced her self-titled album “Orion” will be released on September 20, 2024.
The album is her first LP in four years since the 2020 album “Hold Space For Me” and comprises a 11-track.
Orion Sun said of the album, “I am the accumulation of everybody who has ever loved me and I'm so grateful! its been 4 years since my last album. Thank you for still being here. I'm working on the words. This is a very surreal and important moment. To be able to create in times like these I don't take lightly or for granted. Finally these songs are leaving my body. What a release to everyone involved in making this album come to life.”
From the album, Orion Sun released a new song “Mary Jane” on July 9, 2024.
The song is the second single off of the album, following the release of “Already Gone” last month.- Orion Sun said of the song, “This song is about coping and facing fear head on. I lean hard on my vices when it feels like the world it's falling from the sky. It helps you escape for a while, but no matter where you go, you can't run from yourself. I had to face my fears eventually, and I'm glad I did.”
