Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ The Chainsmokers & Fridayy Team Up for New Song “Friday”
American DJ duo The Chainsmokers teamed up with Haitian-American singer-songwriter Fridayy to release a new song “Friday” on April 26, 2024.
This marks the first collaboration between The Chainsmokers and Fridayy.
For The Chainsmokers, the song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “Addicted” with Zerb and Ink, which was released last month.
The track was written by Alex Pall, Andrew Taggart, Atia Boggs (INK), Francis Leblanc, Robert James Earley, and Simon Samaeng. Produced by The Chainsmokers and Rob Late.
The accompanying music video was directed by Hunter Lyon, who also created the music video for the previous song “Addicted”.
The duo said of the song, “We have waited 9+ years to tap back into this wave that started our career. It wouldn't have been possible though without Fridayy and INK... I mean how do you really top roses! We needed a voice that was special and lyrics that could absolutely nail it.
