Montreal-based singer-songwriter Annabel Gutherz released a new song “Shame” on April 5, 2024.
The track is an open-hearted single about acknowledging and overcoming relationship insecurities while blending classic rock influences with modern pop sounds.
She co-wrote the song with producers Mikal Blue and Bret 'Epic' Mazur.
Annabel Gutherz said of the song, “'Shame’ is about the ruminations that can arise about your partner’s former relationships and the invasive fears that often emerge as a result.”- She shared on social media, “Somewhere between late-night reflections, watching 'Daisy Jones and the Six', and driving along the Pacific Coast Highway with the typical, wonderful view, this song emerged. I like to think that despite being about doubt and insecurity, 'Shame' harnesses all the warmth and goodness I felt while making it... And I hope those feelings embrace you when you listen!”
