Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Kygo Releases New Song “For Life” featuring Zak Abel & Nile Rodgers
Norwegian DJ Kygo teamed up with British singer-songwriter Zak Abel and American guitarist Nile Rodgers to release a new song “For Life” on April 19, 2024.
This marks the second collaboration between Kygo and Zak Abel since the 2020 “Freedom”.
But Kygo and Zak Abel have worked with Nile Rodgers for the first time.
The song is an interpolation of Modjo's 2000 “Lady (Hear Me Tonight)”.
The track was written by en Duncombe, Bernard Edwards, Kyrre Gørvell-Dahll, Nile Rodgers, Ollie Green, Romain Tranchart, Yann Destangol, and Zak Abel. Produced by Kygo, Ollie Green, and Franklin.
For Kygo, the song is the second collaborative single of 2024, following the release of "Whatever" with American singer-songwriter Ava Max back in January.
The accompanying music video was directed by Johannes Lovund.
