Canadian heavy metal band Kobra and the Lotus vocalist and singer-songwriter, Kobra Paige released a new song “Freedom” on March 15, 2024.
The song is taken from her forthcoming project centered on topics of social change and transformation, following the release of “Thank You” last December.
The track was written by Blair Daly, Kobra Paige, and Tommy Karevik.
Kobra Paige said of the song, “This song has got a chorus as cozy as a campfire, but a conviction fierce enough to knock a person back into their truth. 'Freedom' is about self-liberation from fear, reclaiming yourself as the advocate of your own life, and dismantling your shame cycles so you may set yourself free. This isn't just a song – it's a declaration and an invitation to no longer treat yourself like an apology.”- The new project aims to encourage self-liberation without abandoning the world Through song and deliberate visuals.
Kobra Paige said of the project, “It's a whole lot of color, roots, groove and heart.”
