  • The Anti-Queens Announces New Album “Disenchanted”, Shares New Song “Doomed Again”

  • Toronto-based punk rock band The Anti-Queens, consisting of Emily Bones (lead vocals/guitar), Valerie Knox (lead guitar/vocals), Michael Amaral (bass) and Zoe McMillan (drums), has announced their sophomore album “Disenchanted” will be released on May 17, 2024 via Stomp Records.

The album is their first body of work in five years since the 2019 album self-titled debut album and comprises a 13-track.
From the album, the band released a new song “Doomed Again” on March 22, 2024.
The track was written by Emily Jones, Michael Amaral, and Valerie North. Produced by Steve Rizun and Dave Baksh.

The band guitarist Valerie Knox said of the song, “Doomed Again is a love letter to all the bands out there who never stop doing the grind. There's almost always something that can and will go wrong, but it's never dull being in a rock n' roll band”.
  • The accompanying music video was directed by Emily Bones and Michael Crusty.
The band filmed the music video in Ajax and Oshawa, Ontario. The jam space is one of the actual places they rehearse.

They said of the video, “While we did our best to plan everything, we still ended up crafting our ghost costumes until 4 am just before the jam space shoot, all while a massive blizzard swept through. Very on brand for the title of the song.”
