Nectar Woode Premieres New Song “Only Happen” on BBC Radio 1
London-based singer-songwriter Nectar Woode premiered a new song “Only Happen” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is her first music since the second EP “Head Above Water”, which was released last November.
It is a smooth, soul-pop track. She co-wrote the song with London-based New Zealand-Australian singer-songwriter Jordan Rakei, who also produced the track.
The accompanying music video was directed by Marcus Grey.
Nectar Woode said of the song, “It's been a journey to get to this point and it feels like a new chapter to re-introduce myself. Me and Jordan Rakei wrote this on our own experience being from mixed heritage and of feeling ignored sometimes, not being able to fit into either 'boxes' and we found our own instinct and kind words/people to get us through those doubts.”- She added, “It's such an honour to have wrote this with Jordan Rakei and have him on the produce, I'm huge a fan (since Franklin's room) so a pinch me moment all round to be honest.”
