Charli xcx Drops New Music Video for “party 4 u”
British singer-songwriter Charli xcx has dropped a new music video for “party 4 u” to celebrate the fifth anniversary of her 2020 fourth studio album “how i'm feeling now”.
The album “how i'm feeling now” was recorded during the COVID-19 quarantines. The song “party 4 u” is featured on the album as the ninth track.
Back in February, “party 4 u” went to viral again on TikTok. And then her label Atlantic Records re-released the single earlier this month. Charli xcx shared, “It's p[retty] crazy that this song is suddenly getting love in this kinda way. I know this song means so much to so many [fans]”.
The video was directed by Mitch Ryan. The track was written by Charli xcx and Alexander Guy Cook. Produced by A. G. Cook.
Charli xcx said of the video, “party 4 u video out now. Special thanks to Mitch Ryan, Ben Carey and Imogene. We turned this video round in 4 days just for you. I love this song and I can't believe this is happening so many years later.”- Charli xcx shared on social media, “How I'm feeling now turns 5 years old tomorrow... it honestly just feels like yesterday. So much has changed since then: me, my life, elements of my music and most definately the world. I made the album in just 5 weeks, from conception to release, entirely publicly in collaboration with all of you. It was so special. I felt like I rediscovered myself, my sanity my sense of connection with the world, at a time where we were all so alone. To create with all of you helped me feel ok. It was all of us at our most raw, our most stripped, our most vulnerable. I will never forget it, and i really can't believe that 5 years later one of the angel favorites is having its own special moment. So obviously I wanted to do something to celebrate... this ones for you angels.”

The new album comprises 11 track, which the band worked with producer Greg Kurstin in Los Angeles.
The band guitarist Joff Oddie said of working with Greg Kurstin, “We did this in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. We worked with Greg Kurstin who is a big famous pop producer, and probably one of the nicest men in the world, right? And it was a ball. I think it's probably one of the most incredible recording experiences we've ever had. Greg is like, such a generous guy. He is like, the most amazing musician I've ever seen. And we've got to hang out in LA Ford, which is cool.”
