Tyla Releases New Song “Bliss”
South African singer-songwriter Tyla released her brand new single called “Bliss” on May 9, 2025.
The song is her first solo music in a year since her self-titled debut album, which was released last March.
From the debut album, “Water” won Best African Music Performance at 2024 Grammy Awards.
She first performed the song at Coachella 2025 in Indio, California last month.
This time, along with the release of the song, she announced a collaboration with the upscale grocery brand Erewhon: the “Bliss” smoothie.
Proceeds gained from the smoothie will go towards 18twenty8, a charity focused on empowering young women in South Africa through support for education initiatives and personal development.
The track was written by Sir Nolan, Sir Dylan, Tyla, Haile, Mirtha Michelle Castro Mármol, Brittany Coney and Blu June. Produced by NOVA WAV, Sir Nolan and Sir Dylan.- Tyla said of her new music, “I've changed a lot in a short amount of time because I was kind of forced to - with how fast I had to adapt to everything. I don't think it's going to be the same energy at all, especially with what I've started making. It's different, but also still Tyla.”
