  • Deadcode Releases New Song “Left You For Dead” featuring Justin Warfield

  • American electro-rock band Deadcode, consisting of Stephen Sims (vocals) and Steve Morgan (guitar/production), joined forces with American singer-songwriter Justin Warfield to release a new song “Left You For Dead” on May 2, 2025.

The song is taken from their upcoming debut album “Nothing and Nowhere”, which is set to be released on May 30, 2025.
The track was accompanied by the Justin Warfield-directed music video. The clip has a vampire theme and is set at an underground party.
It was written by Stephen Sims, and Steven Morgan, who also produced the track.

The band lead singer Stephen Sims said of the song, “‘Left You For Dead’ is about breaking free of toxic friendships, and managing the fallout that can come with those decisions.”

Guitarist Steve Morgan added, “It’s a special song on the album to me because it’s one of the few that we started creating in person together at my home studio.”
  • Steve Morgan continued, “Most of the tracks on Nothing and Nowhere were written by sending our ideas back and forth between Sims’ home in California and my home in Florida until we felt it was ready for final tracking. Coming up with ideas together as a band, and instantly collaborating on it in person in real time is part of the energy that makes songwriting a magical experience for artists. Justin Warfield (of She Wants Revenge) who is not only Deadcode's manager, but a good friend, was also there for part of that songwriting session, and you can hear his musical influence on the track as well, so it just made perfect sense to have him as a vocal feature, since there ended up being a very gothic dark-rock vibe on end result of 'Left You For Dead.'”

  • Justin Warfield said, “I’m honored and stoked to share the new Deadcode single, 'Left You For Dead'. In addition to being the guest vocalist on the song, I also had the pleasure of producing and directing the music video. Thank you to Steve and Stephen for always trusting in me, and to my amazing team for yet another gorgeous piece of work. Filmmaking takes a village, and I’m proud to be a part of this one.”
