  • Stormzy Returns with Two New Songs “SORRY RACH!” & “Hold Me Down”

  • British rapper Stormzy returned with two new songs “SORRY RACH!” and “Hold Me Down” on May 7, 2025.

Both songs are his first music since the collaborative single “BACKBONE” with British electronic duo Chase & Status, which was last August.
On “SORRY RACH!”, he rapped about teaming up with McDonald's earlier this year.
McDonald has been criticised by the BDS movement in the past.
Stormzy has been vocal in his support of Palestine, but he removed his 2023 post calling for a “Free Palestine” from his social media when he began McDonald's campaign. And as a result, he received the sharpest criticism of his career.
After that, he said, “I didn't archive the post where I came out in support of Palestine for any reason outside of me archiving loads of IG posts last year. In that post, I spoke about #FreePalestine, oppression and injustice and my stance on this has not changed”.
  • He continued, “The brands I work with can’t tell me what to do and don’t tell me what to do otherwise I wouldn’t work with them. I do my own research on all brands I work with, gather my own information, form my own opinion and come to my own conclusion before doing business.”

The track was written by Dahi, David Biral, Denzel Baptiste, Jonah Stevens, Mel DeBarge, Stormzy, and Will Grogan. Produced by Take A Daytrip, Dahi, Jonah Stevens, Will Grogan, and Mel DeBarge.
The accompanying music video was directed by Semera Khan and Emily Jeffery.
“Hold Me Down” was written by J Moon, Lily Kaplan, and Stormzy. Produced by J Moon, and Lily Kaplan.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tommy Davis.
