Lemi Releases New Song “Bear”
Norwegian singer-songwriter Lemi released a brand new song “Bear” on May 2, 2025.
The song is the third single of 2025, following “Baggage” and “Daggers”.
The track was inspired by a TikTok debate: “Would you let your daughter walk alone in the forest with a bear or a strange man?”
It dives deep into the realities of fear and survival, capturing the chilling truth behind women's experiences of threat and violence.
It reflects the brutal choices young women are forced to make just to survive.
The track was written by Leah Michelle Hørberg, and Robert Reid Gillies, who also produced it.
Lemi said of the song, “'Bear' is the song I needed to write. It's about what it feels like to live in a world where you are always calculating danger - and how often the real monsters look ordinary.”- She added, “This might be the most powerful and important song I've ever written. But absolutely necessary in this weird, frightening world we live in. I truly hope it finds its way to the people who need to hear it the most! A huge thank you to Robert Gillies, who has produced and co-written this with me. Thank you for daring to dive into this deep, scary, but important world with me!”
