Cristóvam Releases New Song “Fever” featuring Boy & Bear
Portugal singer-songwriter Cristóvam will release his upcoming third studio album “Desert of Fools” on October 10, 2025 via V2 Records.
It is his first album in three years since the 2022 album “Songs on a Wire”.
Cristóvam recorded 10 songs with producer Tim Hart in Australia.
From the album, he has released a new song “Fever” along with a music video.
On the track, he joined forces with Australian indie-folk band Boy & Bear.
The track was written by David Hosking, David Symes, Flávio Cristóvam, Jon Hart, Killian Gavin, and Tim Hart, who also produced it.
The accompanying music video was directed by Diogo Rola.
Cristóvam said, “We've been working on something special together. Huge thanks to Boy & Bear for being a part of this journey.”
Boy & Bear said, “Massive thanks to the incredibly talented Cristóvam for bringing this song to life.”- The inspiration for the album stems from Cristóvam's ongoing struggle to balance his family life in the Azores with a music career that takes him across the world.
Cristóvam said of the album, “I think all touring musicians experience it to some degree, but living so far from the cultural centers of the world only intensifies the disconnection. When I’m not touring, I often feel like I’m in limbo, never fully in one place. That feeling of never truly being present is something I think a lot of people can relate to-when your body is physically in one place, going through the motions on autopilot, but your mind is somewhere else entirely. I often find myself thinking, what a foolish place to be. It’s a feeling that lingers even now-one that you have to learn to live with if you want a career in the performing arts but don’t want to move to a big city.” -
