Tom Grennan Premieres New Song “Full Attention” on BBC Radio 1
British singer-songwriter Tom Grennan premiered a new song “Full Attention” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is the fourth single off of his upcoming fourth studio album “Everywhere I Went, Led Me To Where I Didn't Want To Be”, which is set to be released on August 15, 2025.
He recorded the song with producer Carl Falk, Jussifer, and Danitello in Sweden.
It was written by Carl Falk, Mike Needle, Salem Al Fakir, Tom Grennan, Vincent Pontare. Produced by Carl Falk, Jussifer, and Danitello.
Tom Grennan said of the song, “We live in a world full of noise and distraction, heightened by social media on top of the usual demands and trappings of everyday life. We have lost focus of what truly matters, and this song is about navigating that noise and turning it to silence, all the negativity in the world including that of my chequered past. New unwanted noise and old baggage are diminished to nothing in my quest to solely focus on the bright light ahead, allowing me to give my FULL ATTENTION on where I’m going in life and who I truly want to become.”- Tom Grennan told Jack Saunders about the song, “This song was written in Sweden. And it's the first time we actually, set up loads of instruments and kind of wrote a song, organically for this, for this record. Let's make a beat and see what happened there. And it was like, real musicianship. And the song honestly, came from what felt like just the Gods of songs. It was like dropped on us and we were like oh my God we're on to something amazing here, then 'Full Attention' was born.”
He continued, “To be honest with you, I was actually speaking to my friend who I wrote with Mike Needle. And we were speaking about the song and how it came together. And the idea came from, we were walking down the street in Sweden, and there was a conversation about faith and what that meant, and really and truthfully, it was me going inside of myself and saying, Who did I want to be, and what did I want to be, and what my morals, and who I want to be, and another variety really inspires us, from Robbie Williams man like how he really like writes his songs and what they're about. And there's a deeper meaning in between the lines.” -
The new album comprises 15-songs, which he recorded in Sweden, produced by Carl Falk, Connor McDonough, Danitello, Fat Max Gsus, Jussifer, Justin Tranter, Riley McDonough, Ryan Daly and Toby McDonough.
Tom Grennan said of the album title, “I definitely like resonated with that title. And I remember, like I remember getting for my label and my management and even my friends, and I was telling them. This what I made my album. And I like, wow, that's very like vast and very like long. But I just felt like it explained everything in what this album is and who I am, and what I've been through and what I've done and how I've come out the other side.” - source : BBC Radio 1
