Obsidian Cane & Gizella Release New Collaborative Song “Crazy World”
London-based studio producer Obsidian Cane and London-based singer-songwriter Gizella released a new collaborative song “Crazy World” on April 17, 2025 via Reset Records UK.
The song is their second collaborative single, following “Never Change” released back in January.
The duo had already completed four songs and will release other two songs this year.
On this drum and bass track, Gizella's three-octave vocal range perfectly intertwines with the mesmerically sparse soundscapes, calling for more humanity in today's unsettling and disruptive times.
It was written by Gizella Futak, and Keith Farquharson, who also produced the track.
Gizella said of the song, “This is our second release this year. Inspired by the Crazy World we live in right now. Time to reach out to each other and foster humanity and harmony. While Utopia may never be achieved we can make steps to change our world for the better...”
Obsidian Cane added, “The song title is kinda apt with the events unfolding before us in realtime to be frank.. is kinda wild! Stay safe out there people.”- The collaboration is born out of Obsidian Cane's search for a female vocalist. Obsidian Cane and Gizella met through a friend who heard Gizella singing on her bike every morning.
Obsidian Cane told Mundane Magazine about working with Gizella, “When I first heard Gizella sing I was like WoW! Her voice was so compelling & stunning that she moved my spirit. My second reaction was panic, as I now had to make productions to match ha!”
Gizella continued about Obsidian Cane, “I loved the quality and authenticity of Obsidian Cane's production, clean and right, versatile with sounds and colours that inspire me.
