MØ Releases New Song “Lose Yourself”
Danish singer-songwriter MØ released a new song “Lose Yourself” on April 30, 2025.
The song is fifth single off of her upcoming fourth studio album “Plæygirl”, which is set to be released on May 16, 2025.
The track is accompanied by a music video, which was filmed during her recent European tour dates.
It was written by Clementine Douglas, Karen Ørsted, Micah Jasper, Nick Sylvester, Rasmus Littauer, Ronni Vindahl, and Stint. Produced by Nick Sylvester and Ronni Vindahl.
MØ said of the song, “'Lose Yourself' is about self-preservation and self-joy – about letting go in a healthy way, without losing each other in the process. I've found that staying connected to your community is one of the most vital ingredients for a healthy spirit. This song is a reminder to be vulnerable, take care of yourself, and care for those you love.”- She continued, “I first wrote it in 2022 with my longtime collaborator Stint, then revisited it with my drummer and friend School of X. When Nick Sylvester came on to produce the final version, we were inspired by Joy Division — and a killer lunch plate from a local spot called Tekno in Nørrebro. Ronni Vindahl helped with finalizing the production, Micah Jasper added some cool elements, and Clementine Douglas helped us land the perfect flow in the songwriting.”

The new album comprises 12 songs, produced by Nick Sylvester and Ronni Vindahl.
She recorded the album between Copenhagen and Los Angeles over 2022-2024.
MØ said of the album, “The meaning behind this album or the title, is really this thing of trying to find joy and playfulness and to have fun while you do it. And it sounds so banal in a way, but I think many years I was so trapped in like, overthinking, Oh, is this perfect or whatever? But with this one, it's just like, No, I want to be in the room and actually try and have fun. Of course, it's about expressing yourself, the support for me to express myself. But I think it's so important to try and find the joy, like you literally don't know what's coming like in these times, it's so crazy. And it's just, you got to live your truth and be in the room.” - source : Apple Music
