Donate to support families affected by the crisis in Ukraine ➔ Ruth Royall Releases New Song “Electricity”
Bristol-based drum and bass singer-songwriter Ruth Royall released a new song “Electricity” on March 15, 2024.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Jack Saunders.
The song is the first solo release in a years since “Walk Through Fire”, which was released in January 2023. She shared, “It's new music time.”
As the single, the song is the follow-up to the collaborative song “Connection” with Ekko & Sidetrack released last November.
The track was written by Ruth Royall, and Joseph Aluin Lenzie, who also produced it.
Ruth Royall is known as the vocalist and composer for British drum and bass collective Paper Dragon, but left the collective in 2022 and has become a rising name as a solo artist in the UK electronic scene.
To date, she has collaborated with Shogun Audio, Hospital Records, Spearhead Records, Viper and more. Her features include Macky Gee, David Zowie, Grafix, Pola & Bryson, Bcee and more.- Photo by Megan Ip
