London-based singer-songwriter Yaz León released a new song “Mouthwash” on April 10, 2024.
The song will appear on her upcoming sophomore EP “Bleach”, which is expected to be released in 2024.
Sustaining a hazy essence, the promising forces details a tentative romance, questioning her intrusive thoughts and if taking the plunge was ever the correct answer, she goes back and forth as she reflects on what turned out to be a sour outcome.
The track was written by Yaz León.
Yaz León said of the song, “I swear Mouthwash was meant to be a pop song. It’s become a bit more of a mental breakdown in audio. I go on singing about weighing the good and painful bits of a relationship. So, lyrically it’s all over the place. Sometimes I’m taking the piss out of my astoundingly bad judgement and sometimes I’m trying to be a little kinder. There’s clearly a lack of closure so it’s hard to focus on one emotion.
